Boss urges leaders to take risks in cold climate |
A Yorkshire entrepreneur who has grown his business to a 22-strong team with a £1million turnover in less than three years will encourage his peers to take more risks at a Leeds Chamber event on March 26. Todd Hannula CEO of Harehills-based Camberwell, which drives regeneration through social enterprise, is speaking at the Chamber’s quarterly networking lunch which runs from12pm-2pm. The session at Shine, Harehills Road, Leeds – the venue is Camberwell’s award-winning £4.5m enterprise centre incorporating conferencing, meeting rooms as well as pay-as-you-go business accommodation. Hannula will draw on his experiences to demonstrate the risks he has taken and the benefits he has gained through eliminating the word ‘can’t’ from his vocabulary. Leaving behind well-paid and prestigious corporate careers to move with his wife and child from the US to Yorkshire, Hannula teamed up with three fellow directors to establish Camberwell which has delivered regeneration and social enterprise projects worth more than £10m.
